Bank Charges Update – November 2009

The long-awaited Supreme Court judgement on bank charges has been set for Wednesday morning (25th November 2009). The eight High Street banking institutions at the centre of a legal wrangle with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) over bank charges have already lost a High Court case and an appeal case. If the banks lose, the OFT is expected to deliver its final report against bank charges in early 2010, resulting in possible repayments to consumers in 2010.

Investor Compensation is hopeful of a positive result which will take us to the final stage of the process, but it is unlikely to have an immediate impact on your claim but is a huge step in the right direction.

We will keep you informed of any news and will be updating the site over the next few days with Supreme Court ruling along and with our considered thoughts.

If any of your contact details have changed please contact info@investorcompensation.co.uk quoting your name and reference number or postcode (both if you have them to hand) and any changes you need us to make.
